'The Singing Celebrant'

Hi it's Daniel James here, as a celebrant I offer something different and unique to couples getting married.

I love to sing and I use the gift of song in the ceremony to add to your special occasion. I also play guitar and keyboards to accompany myself. (This service of singing at your ceremony is an option and not compulsory to enlisting me as your celebrant! If you prefer to have a simpler ceremony without me singing that is alright too!)

I hold a Diploma of Music from Box Hill College of Music as well as Double Degrees in Secondary Teaching/ Arts (majoring in Drama).

What type of Songs could I sing on your wedding day?

Whether it is a song like "Perhaps Love", "Unchained Melody" "Can't Help Fallin' in Love", "To Love Somebody", to songs of a deep meaning or spiritual nature such as "The Prayer" or "Sunrise Sunset" or "Bring Him Home" or "You'll Never Walk Alone". Whatever songs I sing that you choose or approve of, will strike a chord with all who attend and this will definitely add that something "extra" special to your special day.

I have had years of experience in performing on TV and theatre. In 2000 I won the coveted title "Voice of the Yarra Valley."

My experience teaching both classroom and instrumental lessons in Voice, Guitar Drama and Music, gives me a comfortable approach to public speaking and interpersonal skills both one on one and in groups. I draw these and other life experiences in assisting couples to create a ceremony that is both engaging, sensitive and respectful at all times to their background and beliefs without being stuffy and sounding old and tired.
